An Inspirational Road Trip to California!

Hi Friends,

Your Not So Skinny Wedding Concierge was on the road today to a WIPA wedding industry meeting in beautiful Carlsbad, California.

Usually I fly down for these events but I was really quite happy to enjoy a road trip this time (with blessedly open roads due to this being a holiday Monday).

The trip started off from Las Vegas with my dear friend Natasha from Write Shot Photography. And of course, the moment we hit the pavement together, the great tunes and conversation kept us busy all the way down to Manhattan Beach.

Yes, we shmoozed about weddings and business but we also had some great discussion about so many other things; guys, health, staying focused on goals, inspirational and spiritual stuff too. 5 hours of life and laughs and tears and everything in between on the 1-15!

From Manhattan Beach to Carlsbad, the trip continued in a different car as I joined Pauline Parry (from Good Gracious Events in LA) and I had a whole different kind of inspiring and creative conversation with her.

After taking some time to go to the gym and do the treadmill thing (which you know I hate but I'm keeping my promise to walk, even on the road) and a little rest, I was refreshed.

The day ended with a gorgeous, inspiring evening sky and even more inspiring late diner and great conversation with Pauline and King Dahl of MGM Resorts Events. "I AM a fortunate person", I quietly thought to myself sitting with these two very gracious, giving and creative individuals.

I so look forward to these monthly California trips (by car or by plane) They are monthly moments of zen for me. The opportunity to engage on a personal level with my professional colleagues and get to know them better makes me happy and gives the highly social animal that I AM mental, emotional, intellectual and yes, even spiritual nourishment I require to be ME. Ok, I confess, the cuisine is pretty delicious and nourishing (and healthy too, I promise) as well.

Today I AM Nourished and I AM Inspired in Every Way. What are YOU today?
