Hello Friends,Today, I am celebrating 30 days of abstinence from compulsive over eating but it has been a little over a month since I started "Project Tracey" on 6/30/10.
My friend told me to blog an inventory of what I have accomplished so far to keep me motivated. I hope it will also keep me motivated as I tackle a more difficult "inventory" of self that my sponsor, "J" has asked me to do.
Either way, both inventories are important for different reasons. I may share "some" parts of that latter "inventory" with you at times if I feel brave enough too, but in the meantime, I am going to share the other inventory.
Since June 30th, Your Not So Skinny Wedding Concierge has..
- Walked Every Morning/Day (So far today I have walked almost 4 miles).
- Joined 24 Hour Fitness Gym
- Started doing ZUMBA at home
- Started doing ZUMBA at the Gym
- Taken Hip-Hop Class

- Admitted I ate compulsively in front of "My Group", told this to my family and all of you.
- Retained a Sponsor in "My Group" & told this to my family and all of you.
- Re-Audited "PSI" (Professional/Personal Success Institute)
- Started this blog.

- Am putting a sensible eating plan together and following it
- Eating 3 meals a day and weighing and measuring them
- Not eating, when I am home, after 8:00 pm (I did eat-out after 8pm last night & don't think I want to do that again.
- Being Honest with myself (no matter what)
- Drinking lots of water
- Limiting my caffeine (coffee) and my carbonated water (no diet soda for me-I quite that 2 years ago).
- Bought literature and am reading and using it through "My Group"
- Finished 2 books that were "just for me"
- Eating Out Less (unless with a coupon to save money)
- Started to keep a food journal -check out MyNetDiary.com that works on iPhones, iPods, iPads and Blackberry too!
- Go to one meeting where all I do is shut up and just JUST LISTEN.
- Lost a total of 26 pounds as of today and increased my odds of hanging around this world a little while longer.
If you told me on June 30th I would have been able to do all this, I would have looked at you in fear and tears in my eyes, saying "No, I don't believe you. I can't do all that!".
*I remember when I lived in Israel (in 1981), we would (and they still do), answer a "How are you?" with "Baruch Hashem" meaning "Thank G-d". The way we say we say that may fluctuate depending on our mood (from "doing great" to "OY, you don't want to know". But, no matter the inflection or the meaning, we know it would always mean "He" is always with us (or with me) no matter what kind of day I am having.
For those of you who are not Jewish, it might sound more familiar as "With the Grace of G-d." But, regardless of the icon on the end of your necklace, it all comes from the same place of "A Higher Power" or a "Higher Love".
So today, as I look at this at this impressive list, that was AND IS not always easy, I AM SO Grateful and I AM SO Happy that I can say, with gusto, "Baruch Hashem" and know that every day, I can feel and mean that more and more.

What are YOU Today?
