Great news today! Your Not So Skinny Wedding Concierge is 32 lbs THINNER today so if you haven't seen me in a while, expect to see "less of me" the next time you do:)!
I am trying not to drip all over by computer keyboard as I just returned from a walk to my local Tropicana 24 Hour Fitness Club for a ZUMBA class, to shake, merengue, salsa and cumbia through 60 minutes of that and another walk home in the hot dry sun. PHEW!
I admit I was afraid of doing the classes but it is so much more fun than doing it by yourself. The group really gets into it with great music that gets us moving and shaking no matter how we all do it; its cool.
I'm headed to an ISES, Las Vegas meeting on Tuesday August 31st for "Havana Nights" (you couldn't keep me away from that one") and can't wait to get on the dance floor with all my colleagues and have some fun.
Then a big smile spread across my face as I think, "What could be more fun than going to go Zumba classes with strangers?"..... Las Vegas Hospitality GROUP ZUMBA?!!! I am so excited just thinking about it!
Are you a Las Vegas NACE, or Las Vegas ISES member or any other member in the Las Vegas Catering and Special Events Industry who wants to get fit and have fun with your colleagues?
We have all seen each each other get down on the dance floor at meetings and conventions so let's not feign any preconceived potential embarrassment here.

I am going to put some efforts into seeing how we can make this a reality; if its just to have some of my hospitality colleagues join me at a class at my local club (here is the schedule). I always go Sundays at 9am, and can go 10 am on Monday or Thursday but if you up for another or different class at Tropicana, let me know! Non hospitality friends of mind, join me anyway!
How about planning a private #ZUMBA party or starting every a day or every day at Catersource/Event Solutions 2010 Conference with our fellow NACE, ISES, ICA and WIPA friends? I discovered an instructor who can do private events and/or if you are part of the Las Vegas hospitality industry and are a Zumba instructor yourself, speak up or contact me by email if this sounds like fun to you on a long term basis.
